First-Yeast PCR Kits

Rapid and reliable PCR detection of beer spoilage yeasts in beverages

Application:

The GEN-IAL® First-Yeast PCR kits provides rapid and reliable screening methods of beer spoilage yeasts. The systems are very sensitive, specific and enables the identification of contaminants on genera and/or species level.

Principle:

The assay enables species identification by multiplex real-time PCR TaqMan^® technology. The results are easy to analyse and allow unambigous identification.  An integrated internal control avoids false negative results; the UNG-system avoids false positive results. 

Time:

Approximately 1 h with use of a realtime PCR machine.

The PCR systems are well suited for use in combination with the QuickGEN preparation kits (on request) or Simplex^® Easy DNA kit
